Step by Step Car Cleaning
Step 1 - Wash
To get your car show-time ready, we’ve got to begin at the Wash stage. This stage itself has several parts to it, so pay attention!
The Pre-Wash
First begin by applying the Yiannimize Tar and Glue Remover on the exterior of your car to remove contaminants such as glue adhesives, tar, fuel marks and other stubborn stains from your exterior. Take a look at how to apply the pre-wash tar and glue remover, here:
Snow Foam
Here comes the fun part - Snow Foaming your car!
Snow Foam is part of the pre-wash which helps breakdown and remove dirt/grime which gets stuck to your car. It helps dissolve dirt and takes a few minutes to really work. But if you pay close attention to your exterior, you’ll probably be able to see the dirt just flowing off. Use a wash-brush to get into the finer parts of your car such as the badge and model lettering.
Decontamination
Next up, it’s time to Decontaminate and remove any Iron deposits. You’ll notice this at work - when the chemical touches iron it turns red and just drips down the paintwork.
You don’t need to use an Iron Remover all the time - it’s particularly important if you’re parking your car near the rail tracks or if over time brake dust has blown onto the paintwork. So don’t over do it. Feel free to skip this part if your car is new, or if you’ve been cleaning your car frequently enough to prevent deposits building up.
Apply and give a rinse before moving over to Shampoo.
Shampoo
As equally as satisfying as snow-foaming, applying the shampoo to your car is now really getting rid of that hard-to-reach and stubborn dirt marks that haven’t been captured by the pre-washes.
This is a crucial step before polishing/waxing your paintwork so don’t skip it!
Wheels
Don’t forget about wheels!
Over a two-part process, use the Tar and Glue Remover to get rid of debris caught from the road.
Follow this up with the Alloy Cleaner with a wash-brush to get into the finer parts of your wheels and remove the build up.
Do this frequently to prevent tough build-ups which makes it difficult to maintain your Alloys long-term without a professional detailing service.
